Hi! I’m Melissa and hope you find something in my portfolio that relates to your personal style and preferences.
Here is a little about me and my career which I am so very passionate about and grateful for.
I have had a great interest in photography since I was fairly young. That interest grew into a passion at the age of 15 when I was first introduced to a dark room in a high school photography class. This was my first opportunity to test my skills and win awards including Exceptional Achievement in Photography and Photographic Excellence.
That experience empowered me to pursue my post secondary education achieving a Bachelor of Arts with Honours at The University of Windsor (Ontario), then further specialising in photography at Fanshawe College in London (Ontario). Here I was able to expand my skills and accomplish multiple individual print competition awards and earning top awards at the Fanshawe Annual Print Competition, such as, Best Overall Achievement (First Year), Best Overall Achievement (Second Year) and the top award in the program, the John Kippen Award.
In 2006, I established “Melissa Stewart Photography” in Windsor (Ontario) developing media in multiple content categories including newborn, maternity, lifestyle, headshot portrait and wedding photography.
My portfolio has successfully grown since then to include photographs for over 1,000 clients and my work has also appeared in advertisements and articles including magazines, billboards and professional websites.
I absolutely love the relationships that have been built with clients over the years helping them grow their own businesses or following them through all the important moments in life and creating memories for years to come.
